Data Stored Locally

Filary stores the following information locally on your iPhone or iPad, inside the iOS sandbox:

• Your spool inventory (brand, material, color, weight, barcode, etc.)
• App preferences (language, appearance, inventory settings)
• Learned barcode catalogue from previous scans

This data is not transmitted to the developer unless you explicitly export or share a file (CSV, JSON, TSV) using the standard iOS share sheet.

Permissions

Camera	Used to scan barcodes on filament spools. Optional.
Microphone	Used for optional voice commands in the inventory. Optional.
Speech Recognition	Converts speech into inventory commands. Processing may use on-device Apple Speech or Apple services depending on your system settings.

You can deny any of these permissions; the related features will simply be unavailable.

Data We Do Not Collect

• No mandatory user account
• No advertising
• No sale of data to third parties
• No advertising tracking

iCloud Sync

When enabled, Filary syncs your spool inventory and learned barcodes between your Apple devices connected to the same iCloud account using Apple's iCloud services (CloudKit and iCloud Drive).

• Data is stored in your private iCloud space
• No third-party server is used for sync
• Sync is not instantaneous and may take a few seconds to a few minutes depending on network conditions
• You must be signed in to iCloud in iOS Settings

Filary Pro purchases are restored through the App Store independently of the local database.

Security

Your data benefits from standard iOS protection, including device encryption when enabled by you.

Children

This app is not specifically directed to children under 13.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy. The date at the top of the page will be revised accordingly.
